Graduate Coursework Projects – 2025
Program: M.S. in Computer Science
Institution: University of Texas at El Paso
Project Period: Spring & Fall 2025
Overview
Selected project-based coursework completed as part of the M.S. program.
Spring 2025
Integrated Problem Solving for AI (Group Project)
Developed machine learning models to predict chronic diseases associated with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) using CDC BRFSS 2023 data, with an emphasis on problem formulation, data ethics, and real-world applicability.
Data Mining (Group Project)
Studied and presented resilient k-center clustering, analyzing stability guarantees and robustness under noisy data using graph-based methods and theoretical performance bounds.
Fall 2025
Deep Learning (Individual Project)
Developed a deep learning–based intake classification system for counseling settings, using MentalChat16K and LLM-assisted labeling to support topic categorization of client intake transcripts.
Master’s Thesis (Individual Project)
Conducted independent research on meta-learning for adaptive and generalizable cybersecurity systems, focusing on few-shot malware detection and meta-reinforcement learning in dynamic network environments.
